yesterday i learned two new games.

1. "google ghost": designate one person to type things in to a google search bar. go around in a circle. the first person says a word, with optional space character after it. then you proceed around the circle, each person saying a character (usually a letter or space). the typist enters each utterance into the search bar, and as soon as google suggest has no suggestions, the person who said the last character loses and picks the next start-word. the best part is hearing all of the pruned-away suggestions every time someone picks a branch.

2. "add-on": another climbing game, sort of like the dual of climbing-horse, where people take turns making moves and simon-says-style repeating all previous moves and adding one at the end. have not actually tried this one yet.

It should be noted for posterity that that was probably the second-ever game of Google Ghost, which was co-invented by me and the rest of the CMU Tea Partiers back in Wean. Someone else may have invented precisely the same game, but we evolved it from just letters to just letters and spaces to the word and optional space rule.

Was it you that "won" - i.e. complete the unique suggestion so that the next player automatically lost? That happened once yesterday and had never happened before.

Add-on is cool. Depending on your partner, it can get pretty sadistic though.

I made a comment about the invention of Google Ghost (that was the second time we played it, we came up with the rules at tea a few months ago) but it disappeared into the ether, and now your post is saying two comments even though it only shows one.

Add-on is fantastic, my friends and I love to play it when the gym isn't too crowded for it.

You know, some things in life there should just be more of.

There that comment is! Only took it a day to show up.
