Most grad students' experiences writing such things on personal blogs seem to be "agh why are you talking about that???"
really? what blogs? i don't think i've ever seen that. usually if people are bored by a topic they just won't comment.
yeah, i'm really happy classic papers came into being, for exactly the reason you say.
